Summit
Terms
Summit (summitgame.io) is a free daily word game, made and run by just me, a private individual in Estonia. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use Summit.
Playing
Anyone can play without an account. Your climbs then stay on your device.
Accounts
You need to be 16 or older to make an account. You sign in with Google, so keep your Google account safe: whoever can use it can use your Summit account. You can download your data or delete your account at any time, from the Menu.
Playing fair
Please don’t:
- use bots or scripts to play, or to collect the game’s words, climbs or which words count,
- try to get around the game’s limits, or break, overload or attack it,
- use someone else’s account, or pretend to be someone else,
- send anything abusive, unlawful or someone else’s private details in a bug report.
If an account breaks these rules, I may suspend or delete it. I’ll tell you why, unless the law or safety says otherwise.
What you send
The words you submit and what you write in a bug report stay yours. You let me use them to run and improve Summit, for example to teach the game a link it missed.
The game itself
Summit’s design, code and climbs are mine. You’re welcome to share your results and share links anywhere. The word data the game uses comes from open datasets, credited with their licences on the About page, and from my own word-link large language model dataset.
Buying me a coffee
Buying me a coffee is a gift that helps keep Summit going. It doesn’t unlock anything. Buy Me a Coffee handles the payment, under its own terms.
Changes, breaks and the end
Summit is run by one person in their spare time. The climbs, which words count and the game itself may change. It may sometimes be down, and one day it may close. If it’s going to close, or accounts are going away, I’ll say so in the game at least 30 days before, so you can download your data.
No guarantees
Summit is free and comes as it is. I do my best to keep it working and fair, but I can’t promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that the game will always agree with you.
As far as the law allows, I’m not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by things outside my control. Nothing here limits anything the law doesn’t let me limit, such as liability for deliberate harm or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
Your data
The Privacy policy says what Summit collects and why, and how to have it deleted.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters, Summit will say so in the game before it applies. Playing on after that means you accept the new terms.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protections of the law where you live, and you can bring a claim in your own country’s courts.
